Describe a picture - Germany

For this activity our children have described some of our most famous buildings and landmarks. Two of the descriptions are in Turkish.





1) It is a tower. It is round, white, high and it has got seven platforms. The first and the second platform from the bottom are the biggest. The first platform is in the middle of the tower. The first platform has got windows. The windows are black. At the top of the tower are red and white stripes. On the left side of the tower is a green tree. A yellow sun is shining. The tower is 279 m high and it was built between 1965 and 1968. You cannot enter the tower.

The name of the tower is Heinrich Herz. It is our TV-tower.

2) It is a green, white and red ship. It is red at the bottom. Over the red part is a white stripe. Over the stripe the ship is green. It is a sailing ship lying in the harbour of Hamburg. It is a very old ship. It has got 3 masts with white sails. On the side of the ship you can read the name “Rickmer-Rickmers”. In the sky over the ship you can see a sun and a rainbow.

3) It is a building. It has got 5 levels. It is white and it has got a flat roof with a fence around it. A playground is around the building. There are many windows. The main entrance is yellow and has two doors. Outside stairs lead up to the first level. At the end of the stairs is a second playground. We can play chess on the playground. There are three bays; on level two, three and four. We call them “Brecht-Boxes”. They are green, blue and red.

This is our school. The name of the school is Brecht-school.

4) In the middle of the picture there is a big ship. There are lots of containers on the ship. The ship is black and a little bit grey and red. On the left side of the ship you can read the name „APL“. The colour of the water is blue and a little bit yellow from the sun. The sky is light blue and green.

5) It is a man. His name is Hans Hummel. The man has a wooden stick over the shoulders. There are two buckets filled with water hanging from the stick. He has a top hat on his head. The man is wearing trousers, a jacket and a scarf. The jacket has got four buttons. This man is a statue in Hamburg. The man is at a beach near by the water. The buckets are hung up with ropes. On the right side there is a ship. The man is standing on the beach. The sky is blue, the water is dark blue and the sand is yellow.

6) It is the tower of a church. The colour of the tower is brown. At the bottom it is a little bit red. The tower is very old and it has many ornaments. In some places the tower has small holes. At the bottom you can see inside the church and you can see some bells.
The name of the church is St. Nikolai.

Eda - Turkey7) Hamburg'un bir nehri var, ismide ,,Elbe". O Elbe'nin sahilinde koskocaman bir tas var, ismide ,,Alter Schwede". Dört metre yüksek, ve kapkara. Tas sol tarafda, ve yaninda fark anlasilsin diye, bir insan figürü kumsal'in üstünde duruyor. Bütün bunlarin üstünde mavi gökyüzü var.  umarim sizlere iyi anlatabilmisimdir.

8) Resimin ortasında bir balon var. Balon Hamburg'un üstünde uçuyor. Balonun üstünde şu yazıyor: "Bunu bütün Hamburg okuyor". Bu yazı beyaz ve yeşil bir bantın üstünde. Balonun altında bir sepet bağlı. Bu balon ve sepet yere bir iple bağlı. Sepetin icine girip uçarak bir Hamburg turu yapabilirsiniz. Arkakasahnesi mavi çünkü göküsü.
