The egg did break up a bit as it got pulled in.
Our project is called 'Let's learn together' as our pupils will be involved in sharing lessons, learning about education, culture and traditions in different countries and collaborating with each other by working on the same activities and sharing experiences. Also they will plan different curriculum activities for peers in their partner schools to carry out to increase pupil motivation and enjoyment.

Egg bottle science investigation
We really enjoyed this experiment, once we got it to work!
We decided the problem was that we didn't have a glass bottle with a wide enough neck for the size eggs we were using.
Everyone got excited as the egg got sucked into the bottle - but then it stopped, twice.
The third egg was slightly smaller and we watched it get sucked right into the bottle.
We cheered when it disappeared inside.

Egg in the Bottle - Hamburg
First of all the teacher wrote on the board what we need for the experiment and in which order we have to do it. |
We worked in groups of 3-5 children. We read the instructions and talked about our assumptions. Then we wrote everything down and made a drawing of the set-up. |
We tried different bottles....We think the neck of this bottle is too small....
The neck of
this bottle is too big...hopefully we can find the right one...and we are
getting sooo hungry...
|
Finally perfect bottles...everybody had so much fun. We sat around the bottles and watched the egg slide down. Hurray, it worked!!! |
