Our project is called 'Let's learn together' as our pupils will be involved in sharing lessons, learning about education, culture and traditions in different countries and collaborating with each other by working on the same activities and sharing experiences. Also they will plan different curriculum activities for peers in their partner schools to carry out to increase pupil motivation and enjoyment.

Take one picture - Turkey
Osman Hamdi was Gerome’s student in Paris between 1860-1869, during the last period of Orientalism - the reflection in the arts of the exploitation of Eastern countries by the industrialised Western countries. After returning back to his home country, Osman Hamdi Bey realised pictures that have the conflicting pairs East and West, Belief and Love, Life and Death. Another determining factor of his life and his art is his being one of the main protagonists of the newly formed science of "archaeology" in Middle-East. He was the founder and the director of Istanbul Archaeological Museum for 30 years and organised many important excavations. His efforts to protect artworks thousand of years old must made have him sensitive to the meaning and ephemeralness of life .

Take one picture - Germany
We decided to have a look at the paitings of two famous artists. The first one is Franz Marc (1880 - 1916). Franz Marc was one of the key figures of the German Expressionist movement. His work is characterised by bright primary colour which makes it very attractive for children. We worked with the paintings "Kämpfende Farben", "Reh im Klostergarten" and "Springendes Pferd".
Very nice colors. It makes us feel happy! Noona ja Laura 5B, Finland
We also had a look at a painting by Emil Nolde (1867 - 1956). Nolde was also one of the first Expressionists and is known for his usage of watercolour. He had an intense preoccupation with the subject of flowers.
