The artist we decided to study was 'L.S. Lowry'. We chose him as he painted pictures about industrial Britain so a lot of our history is shown in his paintings. There was also a song made about him, called 'Matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs'. This is because Lowry's style was to not include too much detail for people and animals.
This is one painting we looked at.
We tried recreating street and factory scenes, in the style of Lowry.
Hopefully we can add some of these later.
