Traditional Recipe - Turkey - Kısır



For 15-20 persons you need: 

                     Cracked wheat (bulgur) (2 kg)
Tomato (2 kg)    
Cucumber (1 kg)
                               Lettuce ( See the amount in the video)
                               Parsley ( See the amount in the video)
Onion ( 5 pieces)
            Pepper sauce (5 spoons)
     Olive oil ( half a litre)
Lemon (8 pieces)

Some more traditional German food - Kartoffelsuppe

Kartoffelsuppe Vierländer Art (potato soup) for 4 people

Ingredients: greens ("Suppengrün"), 750g potatoes, 30g butter or margarine, salt, pepper, vegetable stock (1 spoon), 4 sausages ("Bockwurst"), cream

1) Wash the greens and cut half of it. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes. Heat some butter/margarine in a pot. Sweat the potatoes and the cut greens in the pot. Season everything with salt, pepper and vegetable stock.
2) Add 1,5 liter of water, boil it up and let it boil for about 15 minutes.
3) Meanwhile cut the rest of the greens and let it cook in some salted water. Cut the sausages.
4) Puree the potato soup. Add the sausages and the greens with water. Heat everything again.
5) Serve the soup with cream.

Enjoy the Kartoffelsuppe!!!

Some more traditional German food - Labskaus


Labskaus

Ingredients: 500g potatoes, 2 onions, 1 can corned beef, spam ("Frühstücksfleisch"), 1 beetroot, 4 gherkins, salt, pepper

1) Peel potatoes and cook them for about 20-25 minutes. Peel and cut onions.
2) Put the corned beef, the spam, the beetroot with juice, the onions and the gherkins in a pan and roast everything gently. Use the water of the gherkins to keep everything juicy.
3) Mix the potatoes with everything in the pan and mash it.
4) Add salt and pepper as seasoning.

Enjoy the Labskaus!!!












Some more traditional German food - Hühnersuppe

Chickensoup for 6 people 

Ingredients: 200g pasta, salt, pepper, 3-4 carrots, 2 leek, 2,75 liter chicken broth, some chicken breast meat, parsley

1) Cook the pasta according to the instructions. Peel and wash the carrots and cut them. Wash and cut the leek.
2) Boil up the chicken broth. Add the vegetables and cook everything for 6-8 minutes. Decant the water of the pasta.
3) Add the pasta and the chicken breast meat to the broth and heat everything again. Wash the parsley and cut it. Use salt, pepper and parsely to your liking.

Enjoy the soup!!




Some more traditional German food - Kartoffelpuffer

 Recipe for 20 "Kartoffelpuffer"

Ingredients: 2kg potatoes, 1 onion, salt (1 teaspoon), 3 eggs, potato starch (1 spoon), oil (for frying in the pan)

1) Wash and peel potatoes, peel the onion.
2) Use a grater for the potatoes and the onion.
3) Mix the grated potatoes and the onion with the salt, the eggs and the potato starch and stir everything.
4) Heat the oil in a pan. For 1 "Kartoffelpuffer" put 3 spoons of the mixture in the pan.
5) Keep the "Kartoffelpuffer" on one side until it starts to get a little bit brown, then turn it over.
6) Normally it takes about 2 minutes per side for the "Kartoffelpuffer" to be ready.
7) While frying don't forget to stir the rest of the mixture every now and then otherwise the starch will sink to the bottom of the bowl.
8) Enjoy the "Kartoffelpuffer"!!!
